Sublimation Technology

Sublimated sportswear has been printed using a process called sublimation. In this process, special inks are printed onto a transfer paper, which is then pressed onto the fabric using heat and pressure. The ink turns into a gas and is absorbed into the fibers of the fabric, resulting in a design that is permanently embedded in the material. Sublimation is often used to create custom designs and patterns on sportswear, such as team uniforms and performance gear.

Sublimation is considered the best way to print on polyester because it results in a high-quality, long-lasting print. The process allows for a full color, high resolution print that does not crack, fade or peel like traditional printing methods.

Read more on this page on the different manufacturing techniques/technologies and machinery we use.

Step 2. Transferring the ink from paper to fabric

This can be done roll-to-roll or piece to roll.
