Our Story | Kevin Van Lancker | Sportswear of Tomorrow

The Founder

Kevin Van Lancker,
Belgium → Romania

Sportswear of Tomorrow was founded in 2002 by Kevin Van Lancker from Belgium. What started as a traditional sportswear production operation has evolved into a technology-driven, sustainable manufacturing partner for brands across cycling, running, team sports, and activewear.

With headquarters and production in Romania — and Belgian management overseeing quality, client relations, and product development — SOT combines Western European standards with the production efficiency of Central Europe.

Our mission: to help brands grow with innovative, sustainable, and ethically produced sportswear. Not a broker, not a reseller — a manufacturer with its own facility, its own team, and its own standards.

What Sets Us Apart

From Traditional Production
to Technology-Driven Manufacturing

We’ve evolved from a standard contract manufacturer into a full-stack sportswear production partner — combining EU ethical production with digital tools, certified sustainable materials, and flexible MOQs.

EU Manufacturing

All production in Romania, EU. Ethical labour, European regulations, auditable supply chain. Belgian management ensures Western European quality standards are applied throughout.

Technology-Driven

Sublimation printing, laser cutting, 3D visualisation, SubliScan technology, and AI-assisted design via Flave.eu. We invest in tools that improve quality and reduce your time to market.

Sustainable by Default

Recycled polyester as standard. GRS certified fabrics. OEKO-TEX certified inks. Bio-based and T2T fabrics available. No greenwashing — only verifiable sustainability claims.

Flexible MOQs

MOQ from 1 piece for teamwear. Bulk from 50–70 pieces per style. Suitable for emerging brands testing products and established brands scaling collections efficiently.

Our Production

Own Facility.
Not Outsourced.

Sportswear of Tomorrow has its own production facility in Romania. We also work with trained partner factories in the region for overflow capacity — but never for quality compromise.

Our specialty is technically complex, high-performance garments. We also produce simpler styles, which we sometimes route to partner facilities that meet our quality standards.

  • Own production facility — not a broker
  • Partner factories trained to SOT quality standards
  • Specialty: technically complex performance garments
  • All production in Romania — EU regulated, ethical labour
  • Direct communication — no middlemen
